32 Avgusta

"32 Avgusta" is set in an alternate history where USSR recovered from Era of Stagnation and entered XXI century. It is a scifi-adjacent slice of life. The year is 2036. Two classes of high school students are spending the final month of summer engaged in school, municipal, and agricultural labor somewhere in the sweltering south of the vast Soviet Union. Things haven't gone according to plan and with only a week left before the new school year begins, the last two students, who initially were left behind — including the protagonist — are called to join their classmates and put the stalled work back on track. It should be a simple matter of helping out their class. Or maybe there is more to it?
