Afternoon Affairs & Helpless Housewives

It is the early years of the Heisei era, and Takumi Nakama is the caretaker of a rundown apartment building. He has nothing to do and has failed the university entrance exam, so his parents provide him with an apartment where he can live and work. There were two young wives in the apartment that his parents had provided for him to live and work: Akemi Ushio, a tall and active woman who was cheerful and open-minded, and Shino Kumagaya, a refined and fastidious young lady who had grown up in a well off family. Takumi is teased, scorned, and played with by these beautiful but married women. However, confined in a closed space, these women gradually break down due to their own problems and conflicts.

Set in the early nineties, Takumi Nakama doesn't know what to do with his life. He failed his college entrance exams and lacks the willpower to retake them. What's worse, he doesn't even want to go job hunting. Out of options, his parents give him an old apartment building both as a job and a place to live. There, he meets two young housewives, Akemi Ushio and Shino Kumagaya. Although they seem easy enough to get along with at first, it isn't long before Takumi learns more about them. Both of them feel trapped in this run-down building, and their troubles are gradually breaking them down. Now their sole ally is the inexperienced, awkward, and kind landlord...
