19th October 18XX Papa has invited Professor Ingram to stay with us next week. The professor has recently returned from some scholastic venture in Cairo and promises to bring with him a mummified body— an ancient Egyptian princess, he says!— for us to unwrap. It sounds rather gruesome in writing, but I am quite looking forward to it. My friend Lydia shall be joining us, of course, which means her brother, Edward, shall be here too.
