On that day, an adventurer reached the end of his life. Under a clear blue sky, struck by a bolt of lightning. And so, the young man Alto sets foot in the land of “Purgatory.” The first person he meets in Purgatory, a world of demons, is… a lonely Demon Lord who has just awakened from a thousand-year slumber!? A Purgatory life for the Demon Lord and Alto begins on Hard Mode. Their enemies: every single demon in Purgatory. On the other hand, they don’t even have a place to live. However, Alto has a trump card up his sleeve. It is a secret art passed down through his clan to construct a “Demon Tower.” If they use this as their base, they can at least secure a minimal standard of living— Wait, WHAT!? We’re going to use this Demon Tower to go beyond the surface world and reach the heavens!? Just how many stories high is this thing gonna be!? Don’t be ridiculous! And so, this absurd tale begins!
