Moscow, USSR, 2017. When the Cold War flashed hot at the end of 1953, the United States nuked China and Korea, and the Soviet Union took New York City off the map. But now, even after the psychic revolution of the 1980s, the imperial fortunes of the great powers are waning, and the Cold War is running cold indeed. The USSR, hoping to regain some of its long-lost glory, plans a May Day celebration commemorating one-hundred years of Soviet communism. But the US has its own plans... Agent Angelica Gropius Rhythmic Triad Typhoon is a psychic secret agent, working for the CIA’s secretive spirituality division, codename: The Goatmen. Her mission is to smuggle a nuclear weapon into Moscow and detonate it at the height of celebrations, killing all the Kremlin’s top brass in one fell swoop. However, Agent Typhoon is captured in the course of her mission, and brought to a KGB black site. There, she faces an unexpected enemy: a turncoat Goatmen agent, and her own mentor. Now going by the name of Psycho Soldier Number Seven, she seeks to defeat her former student with her psychic powers. Four hours until the bomb goes off. Can Agent Typhoon make it out?

The story takes place in an alternate history setting in which the USSR was never dissolved, thus the Cold War continued into the 21st century, and the US government discovered and subsequently weaponized psychic powers in order to further their own imperial interests. Agent Typhoon, an American spy working for "the Goatmen", the psychic warfare division of the CIA, is captured while on a mission in the USSR by her former mentor, Psycho Soldier Number Seven, who defected to the KGB.
