Houniao

In a poverty-stricken county in the northwest region, just before summer break during their second year of high school at County No. 1 High School. The weather was stiflingly hot, and tempers were flaring. Two classmates got into a fight over something trivial. But as the saying goes, "When the city gate catches fire, the fish in the moat suffer." While trying to protect their class monitor, Liang Zhirou, who had stepped in to break up the fight, Ye Yuxiao was hit in the head by a chair and ended up in the hospital. This accident suddenly brought Ye Yuxiao and Liang Zhirou closer together. It also gave Ye Yuxiao a glimpse of a more ordinary side of this seemingly perfect, unattainable girl. Before, like many others, Ye Yuxiao had fantasized about the kind of story where a sow becomes a match for a goose. But the insurmountable gap between them made him, someone who prided himself on having a sense of self-awareness, never truly attempt to take even a single step forward. However, starting from this moment... For the first time, a small impulse began to stir in Ye Yuxiao’s heart. The impulse to take a step forward. [Translated from steam]
