The Sonoda Zaibatsu was one of the five major zaibatsu in Japan, which have grown to become prosperous by the Sonoda family. After the war, the zaibatsu, like others, was dismantled, but a new corporate entity, the Sonoda Foundation, was established. The Sonoda Foundation, which reunited the former zaibatsu groups, has grown in power and has driven the economy even more than before the war. The sad news arrived that the general manager of the Sonoda Foundation, Koichiro Sonoda, was in a critical condition. I am very happy to hear that Koichiro Sonoda, the general manager of the Sonoda Foundation, has fallen critically ill. With the current general manager gone, a successor is needed. In other words, the opportunity to seize the real power of the foundation and obtain all the status, honor, and money had arrived. "There is already a movement within the foundation to select a successor". My best subordinate, who was the one to announce the news of general Sonoda's critical condition, continued to speak. "Kukk---He is still alive, but they're so ungrateful.” I couldn't help but burst into laughter at this predictable move. At the same time, those who come forward as candidates for the selection of the general manager, etc., can be read in hand. The Sonoda Foundation has a policy of “taking in those who have talent" and making them the strength of the foundation. No matter how well-known a person may be, those without power will be shaken out of the foundation. In this world of the weak and the strong, I was promoted in an exceptional manner and now serve as a director of the foundation. “Just as well - I've been thinking it's time for a new chairman". "Hmph, till the usual Director Todo.” Seeing my grinning face, my subordinate gave me a wince and a look of amusement. 'Speaking of which, I heard that his daughter will be his deputy during the general manager's absence". "Oh,” I said. The General's daughter - I've seen her at some of the foundation's parties. I heard she was still a student. If she's the deputy, there's no way I won't take advantage of her. Good. “All right, in order to participate in the selection of successors, let's first go and greet the general's deputy". I left the room with my subordinates. [Translated from DLsite]
