To Our Lady

Magdalene has faithfully served Countess Erzabet for years. Her tasks are deceptively simple: obey her mistress, strive for perfection in her eyes, do not falter, do not trouble herself with the rabble, prepare her baths, meals, and her treatments... It's a dangerous dance, but one Magdalene knows well; for years her steps have not faltered. Then a new girl is brought in. A girl who threatens to upturn everything Magdalene has worked built with a mere flick of the wrist and a smile. A girl who threatens to seize her place as the Countess's favorite, and knows it. What is Magdalene to do? [Edited from itch.io]
